Ohio Valley Center's Advisory Council celebrated its 20th anniversary this past April in Columbus, Ohio. First convened in April of 1993, the Advisory Council was created when the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at OSU was awarded one of six regional brain injury center grants from the U.S. Department of Education, Rehabilitation Services Administration. The core of the infrastructure of Ohio Valley Center (OVC) is the 35-member Advisory Council composed of various stakeholders in the research we conduct. The OVC Advisory Council prioritizes issues facing persons with TBI, reviews opportunities for funding, participates in project implementation, monitors progress on projects, and evaluates outcomes.
